Great Britain to deliver over 100,000 drones to Ukraine this year - Healey
British Defense Secretary John Healey says London will deliver more than 100,000 drones to Ukraine this year.
Arriving at NATO headquarters in Brussels on Wednesday for a meeting of defense ministers, Healey said: "We are ramping up drone production for Ukraine, delivering more than 100,000 drones this year, and working with Ukraine to build new, improved interceptor drones. Putin seeks to test, divide, distract. NATO countries are stepping up to deter, to unite, stronger together than ever."
The minister stressed that the United Kingdom will "step up the response to Russian aggression." "Putin's incursions into NATO territory are reckless, dangerous and completely unacceptable. Whether deliberate or not, Putin is watching what we do. And Putin should have no doubt. If NATO is threatened, we will act. And we must confront its escalation with our strength. And that is why today we are stepping up together," Healey said.
He also announced that the UK would continue its commitment to NATO's Eastern Watch mission, which means "British aircraft will continue to fly over Poland until the end of the year."
