SBU exposes Odesa resident preparing Russian missile and drone attacks on city

Counterintelligence agents of the State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have detained a resident of Odessa, who, on behalf of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), was collecting coordinates for a new missile and drone attack on the city.
"To adjust the combined strike, the enemy recruited a 52-year-old Odesa resident, who came into the field of view of the occupiers when he published his calls for the capture of the region in Odnoklassniki," the SBU said on Telegram on Wednesday.
After being recruited, the suspect monitored the positions of radar stations and anti-aircraft missile systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as mobile fire groups that protect the airspace of the region. To do this, he drove around various areas of the regional center in his own car during air alerts and tried to record the work of the domestic air defense.
The agent also photographed defensive fortifications and places of concentration of personnel of the Ukrainian troops on the sea coast.
The suspect passed the collected information to a regular FSB officer, whose identity had already been established by the SBU counterintelligence officers.
The Security Service detained the perpetrator and seized from him a smartphone with "reports" for the occupiers.
Based on the collected evidence, the Security Service investigators informed the detainee of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The perpetrator is being held without bail. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
