On the night of October 20, the Russian occupiers attacked the territory of Ukraine with three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, as well as 60 Shahed, Gerbera strike UAVs and other types of drones, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said.
"According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense systems shot down/suppressed 38 enemy Shahed, Gerbera strike UAVs and other types of drones in the north, south and east of the country," the message says.
In addition, 3 ballistic missiles and 20 strike UAVs were recorded hitting 12 locations.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The attack is currently ongoing, with several enemy UAVs remaining in the airspace.
