Zelenskyy: European leaders pushing Trump to use Tomahawk missiles
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that European leaders want to appeal to US President Donald Trump with a request to use American-made Tomahawk long-range missiles.
"First of all, I would like to say that European countries also have Tomahawks. The question is not just about the Tomahawks as such. The question is about the use of weapons. Because you can have ATACMS, but how can you use them? The question is not only what weapons you have, but how can you use them," Zelenskyy said during a meeting with journalists on Sunday.
The president noted that the use of these missiles will be for military purposes and in coordination with partners.
"We spoke with European leaders immediately after the meeting with President Trump. They themselves want to appeal to him," he added.
At the same time, the president noted that Ukraine is in constant contact with the national security advisers of European countries and is building a common position with them. According to Zelenskyy, they will continue to appeal to the US on this issue in various formats.
