Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha reported holding a "very meaningful" meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, in Luxembourg.

“We discussed most recent geopolitical developments, the new momentum for peace, our joint efforts to achieve it, and ways to make it just and lasting. I congratulated Türkiye on the peace breakthrough in Gaza,” the minister said on X.

Sybiha and Fidan also discussed how the "peace momentum" in the Middle East could help bring peace to Ukraine and Europe.

“I informed my Turkish counterpart about the outcomes of the meeting between President Zelenskyy and President Trump, as well as the current frontline situation,” the foreign minister noted.

According to him, he and Fidan also focused on European security, developments in the Black Sea region, and ways to further deepen the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Turkey in the areas of security, defense industry, trade, and humanitarian cooperation.

“Grateful to Türkiye for its unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Sybiha stressed.
