More than 170 combat clashes at front in past 24 hours – General Staff
Since the beginning of Monday, 174 combat clashes have occurred on the front, with the enemy attacking most heavily in Pokrovsk and Oleksandrivsk directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
The Russian invaders launched one missile strike, using two rockets, 32 airstrikes, and dropped 67 guided bombs. In addition, the enemy deployed 2,249 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,932 shelling attacks on our troop positions and populated areas.
Six combat clashes with the Russian invaders occurred in Pivnichno-Slobozhanske and Kursk directions. The enemy launched nine airstrikes, dropped 25 guided bombs, and carried out 125 shelling attacks on Ukrainian troop positions and settlements, six of which were carried out with multiple launch rocket systems.
The enemy also attacked Ukrainian defenders' positions nine times in the southern Slobozhansk area near Vovchansk, Bolohivka, Kamyanka, and Kutkivka. One enemy attack is ongoing.
On Monday, the enemy launched seven offensive operations in Kupyansk direction near Kupyansk, Petrovpavlivka, Pischane, and Bohuslavka. Two combat clashes are still ongoing.
On Lyman front, the Defense Forces repelled four enemy assaults near the settlements of Torske, Drobysheve, Kolodyazi, and Shandryholove.
On Slovyansk axis, the enemy launched nine attacks near Yampil, Serebryanka, Dronivka, Hrihoryivka, Vyemka, Fedorivka, and in the direction of Zvanivka. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
In Kramatorsk direction, the enemy twice attacked Ukrainian defenders' positions near the village of Stupochky.
In Kostiantynivka direction, 18 combat clashes occurred today. The enemy stormed Ukrainian units' positions in the areas of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Katerynivka, Scherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiyivka, and Poltavka.
Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked positions in Pokrovsk direction 65 times near the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Shakhove, Dorozhne, Pankivka, Novo-Ekonomichne, Molodetske, Sukhetske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Chervonyi Lyman, Lysivka, Zvereve, Kotlyne, Udachne, Dachne, and in the direction of Pokrovsk and Novo-Pavlivka. Five combat clashes are still ongoing.
"On October 20, according to preliminary data, 130 occupiers were neutralized in this area, 89 of whom were permanently disarmed," the report says.
In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed one armored combat vehicle, seven unmanned aerial vehicles, four vehicles, and three enemy motorcycles.
In Oleksandrivka axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 attacks by the invaders near the settlements of Zaporizhia, Andriyivka-Klevtseve, Oleksandrohrad, Vorone, Sosnovka, Kalynivske, Novo-Hryhoryivka, and Olhivske, as well as in the direction of Orestopil, Oleksiyivka, and Pryvilne. Two more clashes are ongoing.
In Huliai-Pole axis, the aggressor launched an airstrike on the settlement of Zaliznodorozhne.
In Orikhiv axisar Scherbaky, Kamyanske, Novo-Andriyivka, Mala Tokmachka, Stepnohirsk, and Stepne. Four more clashes are still ongoing.
In Dniprovsky axis, the enemy launched an airstrike on the village of Mykolaivka and made one unsuccessful attempt to approach Ukrainian units' positions in the direction of the Antonivsky Bridge.
