DTEK TPPs attacked by 5-6 ballistic missiles recently – CEO
Some DTEK thermal power plants (TPPs) have recently been attacked by 5-6 ballistic missiles, said Dmytro Sakharuk, CEO of D.Trading has said.
"These are no longer Shahed UAVs, not cruise missiles. Some of our thermal power plants have been attacked by 5-6 ballistic missiles in recent strikes," Sakharuk said during a special session on the situation in the energy sector of Ukraine at the Kyiv Security Forum on Monday.
He noted that the launch of a large number of ballistic missiles has become a feature of recent attacks on the energy sector, and therefore strengthening air defense has become especially important.
"The restoration of the energy sector depends on how we manage to defend ourselves," Sakharuk emphasized.
According to him, other prerequisites for a quick restoration are a reserve of equipment, including from similar thermal power plants in other countries, the availability of financing, both our own and from partners, as well as a team of specialists.
