Russians try to take advantage of thick fog and break through to Kostiantynivka, but AFU thwart enemy's plans
The 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign reported the failure of a Russian attempt to break through to the town of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region, where the enemy had amassed a "large number of personnel."
"The Russians decided to take advantage of the thick fog in Kostiantynivka axis. Under its cover, they attempted to break through to Kostiantynivka itself and the surrounding area. The occupiers amassed a large number of personnel, hoping for a surprise attack. It didn't work," the message reads.
The brigade noted that the scouts spotted the enemy groups' movements in time, and the soldiers "welcomed them warmly."
"The fog became a trap for the Russians themselves – they couldn't see where it was coming from, but we worked precisely and accurately," the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade added.
As a result, the occupiers were repulsed and suffered significant losses. Some groups retreated, while others remained in the fields.
"The Knights are holding their positions. Konstakha is under our control," the brigade noted.
