European Solidarity calls on parliament to create a new majority coalition

The Ukrainian parliament must regain its subjectiveness (agency), recognize the absence of a single majority and create a new coalition; then a government of national salvation must be formed on the basis of support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, European integration, democracy and strong institutions.

This was stated by Iryna Gerashchenko, co-chair of the European Solidarity faction, during a speech from the podium.

"This is the agenda of a warring country, of a parliament that is meeting for the first time in ten days. Two issues - the resignation of two "shooters", for whose appointment this chamber bears full responsibility. "European Solidarity" wants to remind the chamber and the country that always in times of deep political crises it was the parliament that took full responsibility for the situation in the country and for getting out of the crisis," the press service of Eurosolidarity quoted Gerashchenko as saying on the website on Wednesday.

It is noted that the faction has been blocking the rostrum for the second day in a row, demanding instead of the decorative resignation of two "swift" ministers, a report and the resignation of the entire corrupt government.

"How can we get out of the crisis now? The first is to restore the subjectivity of the parliament. Look at this hall, where less than a hundred people have gathered now. Are you going to get out of the crisis that you have driven the country into with such a collective?", - the deputy noted. "The second is the immediate announcement by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of the absence of a single majority. There is none. It is time to correct mistakes,” she said.

"Fourthly, you have created such a system when the country has been governed by the Office of the President for six years. Ali Baba, whom no one elected," she said. Gerashchenko.

"We want to thank 70 deputies from all factions. "European Solidarity" in full force, already more than 20 "Servants of the People", for which we thank you. "Holos", "Batkivshchyna", non-faction members who signed the resignation of the government. Ms. Svyrydenko should come here today and report on the two ministers whose candidacies she submitted. Look the country in the eyes, how it could allow such corruption in the supervisory boards that it appointed. You have no right to avoid political responsibility today," Gerashchenko said, addressing the Cabinet.

"The demands of European Solidarity are as follows. The report of Svyrydenko and the two ministers whom you are going to dismiss today, the subjectivity of the parliament, the announcement of the dissolution of the monomajority, the formation of a real coalition," said Gerashchenko. According to her, after the meeting of President Zelensky with the leaders of the parliamentary factions, a government of national salvation should be formed on the basis of support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, European integration, democracy and strong institutions.
