Starting today, applications for the payment of UAH 6,500 as part of the "Winter Support" for Ukrainians who have suffered the most from the war or are in difficult life circumstances will start, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has said.

As Svyrydenko reported in the Telegram channel, the following can receive the payment: children under guardianship or care; children with disabilities, as well as children in foster families and family-type orphanages (including children with disabilities); people with disabilities of group I among internally displaced persons; children from internally displaced persons (IDPs) who receive housing allowance; children from low-income families under the age of 18, as well as single pensioners who receive a care allowance.

"You can receive assistance in two ways - online through the Diia application or offline at a branch of the Pension Fund. The Pension Fund of Ukraine calculates the amount," the Prime Minister said.

According to her, the funds will be transferred to a current account with a special use regime (if it is opened at a bank), or to the Diia.Kartka, and then they can be spent within 180 days from the moment of enrollment on clothing and footwear, medicines and vitamins.

As reported, from November 15 to December 24, the government launched the opportunity for each citizen to apply in the Diia application or at a Ukrposhta branch to receive assistance in the amount of UAH 1,000 under the "Winter Support" program.
