Ukraine peace concept cut to 22 points, territory depends on front lines – Trump
US President Donald Trump said that the previous 28-point document, which was discussed in the context of resolving the situation between Ukraine and Russia, was not a plan, but only a conceptual "map," according to him, which was later reduced to 22 points, some of which have already been worked out.
"Well, it was just a map. All it was was a map. It was not a plan, it was a concept, and then they took each of the 28 points and then they came to 22 points. A lot of them have been resolved, and actually very favorably. So we'll see what happens," Trump said, answering questions from reporters aboard Air Force One.
Commenting on whether this approach required too much territorial concessions from Russia, Trump said: "Look at the way it's going, if you look at it, it's only going in one direction. So, at the end of the day, this is land that Russia can gain in the next few months. So you want to go to war and lose another 50,000, 60,000 people?" Trump said.
