Statement about capture of Klynove by occupiers near Kostiantynivka is untrue – Army Corps
The 11th Army Corps denied the information spread by the Russian occupiers about their alleged capture of the village of Klynove, Kostiantynivka urban community, Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region.
"The Russian Ministry of Defense has once again spread another fake about the alleged 'advancement' and 'liberation' of settlements in Donetsk region, in particular Klynove. Such information injections are part of the regular Russian propaganda practice that has been going on since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The statement about the alleged 'capture of Klynove' is not true," the 11th Army Corps said in a Telegram channel.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine also said that "according to the logic of the Russian statement, their units should have advanced, capturing the settlement of Vyroliubivka along the way, which in reality is not the case." The information about the massive losses of Ukrainian armored vehicles by Ukrainian units is also not true, the corps added.
"The Russian side launches such 'statements' on a daily basis and traditionally submits them without any evidence," the corps said.
The 11th Army Corps said the situation in the direction remains controlled by the Defense Forces, and there is no confirmed breakthrough deep into the Ukrainian defense in the indicated areas.
"The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to fulfill their tasks, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment. The informational 'victories' that the Russian Defense Ministry announces on paper every day have nothing to do with the real situation on the front," the AFU said.
On the maps of the AFU General Staff, the DeepState OSINT project, and the U.S. Institute for the Study of War (ISW), both Klynove and Vyroliubivka in Kramatorsk district are under the control of the Defense Forces, several kilometers from the contact line. However, there is another village in Donetsk region, Klynove – a village in Bakhmut urban community, which is currently under Russian occupation.
