The European Solidarity Party has called on the European Council to adopt a decision on the use of frozen Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine at its meeting on Thursday.

"We appeal to all friends and partners of Kyiv in the EU with an appeal: to adopt a decision on a reparations loan and frozen Russian assets; to express unconditional support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its generally recognized borders; to strengthen sanctions against the Russian Federation with a demand for an unconditional and complete ceasefire; to jointly take all necessary steps to hold the Russian Federation accountable for genocide and war crimes," the statement published on the party's website on Thursday said.

The party is calling on European allies to "adopt a decision on providing Ukraine with a reparations loan today."

"Russia does not seek peace and is not going to change the goals of its aggression. Its goal is the occupation of all of Ukraine, the destruction of Ukrainian identity, the genocide of the Ukrainian people. Russia is now using its usual tactics of dragging out the negotiation process, its imitation with only one goal - to disrupt the decision on reparations payments and frozen Russian assets. There are no other goals in the Russian Federation! We call on our European and American partners not to believe the Kremlin and not to allow Moscow to play with marked cards. We thank all our Western partners, in particular the USA and the EU, for their peacemaking efforts. But peace must be based on justice and begin not with agreements at the expense of Ukraine, but with an unconditional ceasefire," the statement says.

Eurosolidarity called on the EU "not to support scenarios of peace at the expense of Ukraine."
