Drones strike oil terminal near Russian Taman – Defense Intelligence

The attack on the Tamanneftegaz marine oil terminal near the village of Taman, Krasnodar Territory, Russia, was carried out by strike UAVs on the night of December 21-22, 2025, sources in the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine told Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.

As a result of the strikes, elements of the oil terminal equipment, a liquefied hydrocarbon gas berth, and port infrastructure were hit, which caused a large-scale fire.

The interlocutor in the Main Intelligence Agency noted that military intelligence is increasing the impact of sanctions on the energy sector of the aggressor state, which is directly financing the war against Ukraine.

The Taman transshipment complex, operated by Tamanneftegaz, is one of the largest in the Black Sea region. Its tank farm has a total capacity of over 1 million cubic meters for petroleum products and liquefied gas. The terminal is located six kilometers from the road and railway bridge across the Kerch Strait, which was illegally built by the occupying forces.
