The Kyiv community has allocated more than UAH 12 billion to support the military, veterans and their families in 2025, and has also transferred tens of thousands of drones and other necessary assistance to various units at the front, mayor of the Ukrainian capital Vitali Klitschko said.

"In addition to financing social programs, the city systematically helps combat units by allocating funds for their most pressing needs. Kyiv will continue to do everything possible to ensure that our defenders feel the city's support — both on the front lines and after they return home," wrote Klitschko in a Telegram post.

The mayor of Kyiv also said that, in addition to allocating funds to support the military and veterans, the city helps combat units in other ways. Specifically, the capital's community has transferred nearly 70,000 drones, 350 electronic warfare systems, vehicles, and communication equipment to various brigades on the front lines.

The Kyiv Military Hub operates in the capital to support military personnel, veterans, and their families. The hub provides compensation for converting cars or housing for veterans with disabilities, as well as for rest and correspondence studies at universities. Additionally, Kyiv announced the launch of a system of personalized medical support for veterans on January 1, 2026.
