Investigation of abandoned command post in Hulyaipole underway – Southern Defense Forces
A video of a Ukrainian command and observation post allegedly captured by Russians in Hulyaipole, Zaporizhia region, has appeared on the Internet, and the Defense Forces declare that an investigation is underway.
The video footage allegedly shows a post of one of the Territorial Defense Brigades (TrO) abandoned by Ukrainian military personnel, showing abandoned laptops, work computers, documentation, and a smartphone without appropriate protection.
"Representatives of the relevant competent authorities are conducting a detailed investigation into this fact, which should establish the reasons and prerequisites for the occurrence of such a fact and, in general, whether it took place. Only after that will the information be made public," said Vladislav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
He also noted that street fighting is taking place in Hulyaipole, the situation in the city is difficult, the Russian invaders are trying to enter the city center, establish reinforcement groups and assault groups in the vicinity.
Voloshyn stressed that, in addition, proceedings will be initiated by law enforcement agencies, and based on the results of the investigation, the actions of each official involved in these events will be assessed.
At the same time, analysts from the OSINT project DeepState noted in a comment that "this video confirms the chaos and problems in the management of the units of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, which require the immediate attention of the high military command."
OSINT project specialists said the video confirms the presence of the enemy in the central part of Hulyaipole, but the situation is such that the city "is becoming a large gray zone" where both the Defense Forces and the enemy are present.
