Zaluzhny continues to defend Ukraine's interests as ambassador to Great Britain - advisor
Media advisor to Ukraine's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the UK, Valery Zaluzhny, Oksana Torop, has denied information that appeared earlier in the media about the diplomat's alleged plans to complete his mission and return to Ukraine.
"As always, unnamed sources know everything about Zaluzhny and his plans. But nothing has changed. He continues to defend Ukraine's interests as ambassador to the UK," Torop said in an exclusive comment to Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.
As previously reported, Radio NV, citing its own unnamed sources in political and diplomatic circles, reported that Zaluzhny was allegedly preparing to leave his diplomatic post in London in early January and had allegedly expressed such a desire during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It was also reported that his appointment to other positions was being discussed, but no concrete decisions have been made yet.
