In 2025 state of engineering equipment of defense lines, anti-drone defense improved - Syrsky
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrsky has reported on a working meeting on the state of engineering equipment of defense lines.
As he wrote on social networks, the meeting discussed fortifications, engineering barriers, preparation of settlements for defense and organization of "anti-drone" defense.
Syrsky heard reports from the commanders of the groups of troops and the head of the Administration of the State Special Transport Service. They also discussed in detail how the defensive positions are equipped, what state the "anti-drone" defense is in and how ready the settlements are for defense, focused on problematic issues and identified specific steps to resolve them.
"Servicemen of the engineering troops of the Armed Forces Support Forces of Ukraine, in close cooperation with local authorities and military administrations, practically continuously perform extremely important tasks. This is the creation of extensive systems of trenches and trenches, the arrangement of anti-tank ditches, the construction of dugouts and other elements of fortifications," he emphasized.
According to Syrsky, in 2025 the state of the engineering equipment of the defense lines and "anti-drone" defense improved. A large amount of work has been carried out to prepare settlements for defense. At the same time, these measures should continue to be carried out systematically and consistently, the commander-in-chief noted.
"The experience of the defense of the Pokrovsk-Mirnohrad agglomeration clearly proves: timely and high-quality fortifications and engineering barriers allow you to create effective defense, inflict maximum losses on the enemy on the approaches, and thwart his plans - even with the enemy's numerical superiority," Syrsky said.
He thanked the servicemen of the engineering troops, units of the Support Forces, personnel of the State Special Transport Service, as well as local authorities and military administrations.
