In the capital, about 4,000 houses are still without heat, almost 60% of the city is without electricity, additional measures and additional resources are needed to restore them, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said after an energy selector meeting

"As of this morning, about 4,000 houses in Kyiv are still without heat, almost 60% of the capital is without electricity. According to reports from the city authorities, the forces involved are sufficient, but it takes time. I do not agree with this assessment - additional measures are needed, additional resources are needed," Zelenskyy wrote in the Telegram channel on Wednesday.

In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on the deployment and use of support and heating points, on the preparation of hot meals for people.

"We spoke separately with government officials and Ukrenergo about what is needed to accelerate the repairs of networks and substations. There was a report from Zaporizhia on the terms and details of the involvement and preparation of additional forces to shoot down Shahed UAVs, the president said.

According to him, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov will check all information regarding the reservation of employees of energy companies and utilities involved in the elimination of the consequences of Russian strikes and the emergency situation. Zelenskyy added that for such companies there is already a decision on the reservation of 100% of personnel.

"The deficit of effective response on the ground should not be attributed to the lack of personnel – cities have the resources to attract people to work," he noted.

Zelenskyy also expects today a separate report from government officials on programs to support Ukrainians and businesses in the conditions of an emergency.

In addition, the president announced meetings and negotiations with partners who can provide additional support. "The priorities are obvious to everyone: missiles for air defense, equipment for the energy sector, the most efficient implementation of all the work that is needed," he said.
