Sternenko becomes advisor to defense minister on issues of increasing the use of UAVs at front – Fedorov

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has appointed volunteer Serhiy Sternenko as his advisor on increasing the use of UAVs at the front.

"I met with volunteer Serhiy Sternenko. He has recently spoken with the president – we are deepening our cooperation to achieve our goals. From now on, Serhiy will be my advisor on increasing the use of UAVs at the front. His experience will help us realize our shared vision of increasing the effectiveness of unmanned units," the minister wrote on Telegram.

According to him, "there are several tracks that the Ministry of Defense needs to work on right now." The first is basic support for drone units. Fedorov noted that supplies also need to be systematized—the military must receive effective weapons that work here and now.

"Another focus is analytics and efficiency. This is where Serhiy’s expertise will be helpful. Currently, only 50 units out of 400 account for approximately 70% of all enemy kills. Our goal is to help the remaining 350 quickly grow and significantly increase the scale of destruction of Russians," the head of the department emphasized.

He emphasized that all processes will be improved, based on high-quality data from the front and feedback from the military.

"We share a vision for improving the effectiveness of drone units. I'm confident that together we'll be able to achieve everything we've planned, helping each crew grow and reach new levels. Welcome to the team," Fedorov wrote.

Sternenko also posted on social media, confirming that he had joined Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov's team as an advisor at his invitation.

"My vision for the development of unmanned technologies and our defense in general is almost entirely aligned with the minister's, so I am ready to help implement his strategy. The Russian occupiers must be destroyed on an industrial scale. To achieve this, we will create new capabilities for our army, particularly for drone units," the volunteer noted.
