URCS rapid response crews assist victims of Russian UAV attack in Kharkiv
Four crews of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) rapid response team have come to the assistance of victims of the Russian UAV attack in Kharkiv.
"A URCS team worked at the scene of another attack together with other rescue services... 4 crews of the Ukrainian Red Cross rapid response team in the Kharkiv region worked in the Industrial and Nemyshlyansky districts of Kharkiv, where they conducted a tour of damaged buildings, residential buildings and adjacent areas to identify the wounded," the URCS reported on Facebook on Saturday.
Volunteers provided first aid and psychological support to the victims, if necessary.
Currently, a URCS support point is operating at the site of the Russian shelling, where you can drink water, tea or coffee, and receive psychosocial support. Humanitarian aid is being distributed at 3 locations: OSB boards, tarpaulin, window film, transit food and hygiene kits, blankets and sleeping kits for children, drinking water.
Currently, URCS volunteers are collecting information about the needs of the victims and are planning to provide assistance to internally displaced persons who were relocated from a dormitory that was hit by shelling at night.
As reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as a result of a massive Russian UAV attack, residential high-rise buildings, a dormitory, and a medical facility were damaged in Kharkiv. Currently, 19 victims are known, including one child.
