Over 16,000 residents of Lozova community in Kharkiv region without heating due to nighttime enemy shelling – mayor

Nighttime hostile shelling of the Lozova community in Kharkiv region left residents without heating. The shelling was directed at energy facilities, said the mayor of Lozova, Serhiy Zelensky.

"More than 16,000 residents of the community, including young children and the elderly, were left without heat in the 20-degree frost," Zelensky said on his Telegram channel.

He assured that specialized services are working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.

"Our energy and utility workers are working at the limit of human capabilities. All efforts are now aimed at restoring the stable operation of critical infrastructure. Above all, we are trying to prevent the worst-case scenario and return comfort to your homes," Zelensky wrote. He also asked residents not to interfere with the operation of intra-house networks.

"Independent attempts to 'solve the issue' can cause large-scale accidents and only delay the restoration of services for the entire community," the mayor noted. According to him, the city has established inviolability points where you can warm up, charge gadgets, and use stable communication.
