Russians start using more ballistic missiles – AFU

Russia used a large number of ballistic missiles during a massive strike on Ukraine on the night of Tuesday, February 3, said Yuriy Ihnat, head of the communications department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"A massive strike, 521 enemy air attack vehicles. There are a lot of ballistics this time, missiles attacking along a ballistic trajectory. That is why out of more than 70 missiles, only 38 were shot down/intercepted. This is a large indicator taking into account ballistics. Because there were only 28 cruise missiles, 20 of them were shot down," Ihnat said during a telethon.

He added that information about 6 missiles is currently being clarified, there is no data on hits yet. They probably did not reach the target.

Ihnat emphasized that while previously the Russians had actively used the Kalibr, Kh-101, or Iskander-M cruise missiles, on Tuesday the Kh-22/Kh-32, Zircon, and probably Onyx were used.
