Ukraine sets new anti-record with 1,318 people infected with COVID-19 over past day – NSDC
Another anti-record of new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease has been fixed in Ukraine. Over the past day, as of Thursday morning, some 1,318 people infected, some 997 patients recovered, some 31 people died from the disease, the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC)'s Coronavirus Epidemic Monitoring System said on its website.
A day earlier, on August 5, there was an absolute anti-record with 1,271 new cases per day, some 1,061 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on August 4, some 990 infected people on August 3, some 1,112 new cases on August 2 and there were 1,172 new infected people on August 1.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases from the beginning of the pandemic to the morning of Monday reached 76,808 people on Thursday morning, some 42,524 recovered, some 1,819 patients died from the disease. Now in Ukraine there are 32,465 patients with COVID-19, which are 290 more than the day before.
The largest number of detected cases of COVID-19 over the past day was recorded in Lviv region (197), Kyiv (180), Kharkiv (142), Ivano-Frankivsk (127), Odesa (110) regions.
