IAEA head denies Russia's accusations against Ukraine about alleged development of nuclear weapons

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, said that there was no objective information confirming Russia's accusations against Ukraine about alleged attempts to develop nuclear weapons.

"This issue is very clear to us; we do not have any information that would cast doubt on Ukraine's compliance with nonproliferation obligations," he said at a press conference at the IAEA headquarters on Friday.

"We have no information on any material deviations, any undeclared materials or activities leading to the development of nuclear weapons," Grossi said.

He noted that the IAEA continues to be in close contact with Ukrainian regulators partners.
