Five or seven Russian aircraft constantly flying over Kharkiv bombing residential areas, one shot down in the morning – authorities
On Sunday morning, Kharkiv air defense forces destroyed another combat aircraft of the Russian Air Force, a Su-25 attack aircraft, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov has said.
"The pilot of the plane managed to eject, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the territorial defense forces, the National Guard and the Security Service of Ukraine, are actively searching for the air criminal," Synehubov wrote on the Telegram channel on Sunday.
At the same time, he said that five or seven attack aircraft and fighters of the enemy are almost always simultaneously over Kharkiv, periodically bombarding city blocks with civilians.
"The Russian armed forces are sending a significant part of their own air fleet to Kharkiv ... But our Kharkiv air defense forces powerfully enter the battle, even if the enemy forces prevail. Our Ukrainian military will never retreat from the defense of Kharkiv!" Synehubov said.
