Air defense units down four Russian planes, three helicopters, one drone
The Ukrainian military over the past day, March 13, destroyed four aircraft, three helicopters and an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Russian invaders, the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported.
"In one of the strategic directions in Kyiv region, a group of enemy aircraft – Su-35, Su-34 and Su-25 – attempted to launch missile and bomb attacks on the defense redoubts of the Ukrainian defenders. And while the Air Force fighters were conducting a positional air confrontation with the superior forces of the invaders, air defense batteries fired anti-aircraft missiles at enemy air targets," the Command of the Air Force said.
Previously, three hits on enemy aircraft were recorded. Anti-air missile batteries also downed three Russian helicopters and one UAV.
"Good news from the North operational command, whose air defense hit another aircraft of the invaders this morning," the Air Force Command said on Facebook.
