Russian invaders attempting to establish fake organs of authority in Kherson – Information Resistance

1 min read

Russian invaders are trying to install pseudo government bodies in Russia-occupied occupied Kherson, Information Resistance (IR) has reported.

"Today, Russian occupiers announced the creation of the 'Rescue Committee for Peace and Order,' which included local pro-Russian politicians and collaborators," IR's Telegram channel said.

IR said the "committee" included the ex-mayor of Kherson Volodymyr Saldo, previously accused of kidnapping and murdering businessman Ihor Pashchenko. He is suspected of treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), pro-Russian activist Tetiana Kuzmych, Ihor Semenchev, former chairman of the Antonivka rural council, who is accused in a number of corruption cases, Hryhoriy Kalenov (wanted under Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), who was exchanged for Ukrainian servicemen during a prisoner swap, Kyrylo Stremousov, a pro-Russian activist from Kherson, suspected of treason (Part 1, Article 111 of the Criminal Code) and Dmytro Savluchenko, former activist of the pro-Russian organization "Ukrainian Choice."

IR said Russian media have already begun to popularize the "committee," saying it is the acting authority in Kherson.

"It's good that the city has real power, activists and volunteers, every day proving to the whole world that Kherson is Ukraine," IR said.
