During the Defense Industries Forum in Kyiv on September 29, Czech delegates discussed with the Ukrainian side the ongoing joint projects, which are at various stages of implementation, and the possibility of starting cooperation on new projects, according to the press service of the Czech Defense Ministry.

"The main projects, so-called flagship projects, include the transfer of the production of the Bren 2 Sich assault rifle from the Česká zbrojovka company or the small-caliber ammunition production line from the Sellier&Bellot company. Other joint projects include the production of cartridges for large-caliber ammunition from hard polymer, which brings an innovative solution in times of shortage of raw materials. For example, cooperation on the production of armored vehicles, infantry fighting vehicles or deliveries of special Tatra chassis were discussed. Last but not least, cooperation in the field of unmanned vehicles and related technologies appears to be very promising," the ministry said in the statement.

Deputy Defense Minister of the Czech Republic Daniel Blažkovec said that Czech support for Ukraine has changed from the level of military assistance and the supply of finished products to long-term intensive defense-industrial cooperation, in which not only the armies are involved, but also defense industry companies, both state and private.

"However, we want to take this cooperation even further," he said.
