US Air Force Chief of Staff Brown: Ukraine intends to continue its offensive operations in winter months

Combat operations become more difficult in the winter months, but Ukraine intends to continue its offensive operations, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the U.S. Armed Forces Charles Brown said following a meeting in the Ramstein format.

"I think the – after hearing this morning but then also listening later this afternoon to all of the contributions by each of the nations, I do feel we're putting Ukraine in a good spot. I realize we're in the winter months, it gets more challenging, but Ukraine has intent to continue their offensive operations throughout the winter months. And I do believe, based on what I heard today from each of the nations, we're doing all of the right things to posture and to be successful," Brown said at a briefing with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III in Brussels on the results of the 16th meeting of Ukraine Defense Contact Group.

As reported, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the U.S. Army, General Mark Milley, on Friday, September 29, officially transferred his powers to his successor, General Charles Brown, who previously headed the Air Force.
