Kyiv hands over three more new modern fire trucks to State Emergency Service from German, Polish partners – mayor
Kyiv received three more new modern fire trucks from German and Polish partners and next week they will begin work in the capital's fire departments, according to the website of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Friday.
"These are three Renault cars with a 4x4 wheel arrangement and modern fire extinguishing systems... The cars can be effectively used in inter-house areas, under difficult road conditions," Klitschko said while handing over the cars to rescuers.
He thanked international partners for their comprehensive support and very important assistance for Kyiv.
As noted in the report, since the beginning of the large-scale Russian invasion, Kyiv has received a total of 54 fire trucks as assistance from European partners and philanthropists, of which 14 are new, with foam extinguishing capabilities. Kyiv transferred two of them to Kharkiv. Kyiv also received from partners 47 modern ambulances and 82 city buses.
