More than 13,500 Ukrainians returning through humanitarian corridor in Sumy region
Since July, more than 13.500 Ukrainians have returned through the humanitarian corridor in Sumy region, the Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories has reported.
“Since the start of the resumption of work in July 2023, through the humanitarian corridor of Sumy region, more than 13,500 Ukrainians have returned to Ukraine from the territory of the Russian Federation. Of these, 1,653 are children and 131 people with limited mobility,” the ministry’s press service said.
It is noted that a Transit Center was set up for people crossing the border, on the territory of which a Point of Indestructibility was organized, as well as a shelter.
“Currently, work is underway to install a mobile shelter for 100-150 people,” the message says.
