Due to severe weather in Ukraine 12 people die, 521 settlements remain without power
Due to severe weather in Ukraine, 12 people died and 23 injured, including two children, Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko has said.
"Since November 26, the State Emergency Service units have towed about 2,000 vehicles, including 31 passenger buses and 33 ambulances. More than 4,000 citizens have been assisted, of which 226 are children," Klymenko said in Telegram on Wednesday.
According to him, currently 521 settlements in 11 regions remain without power in Ukraine.
At the same time, the minister said there are currently no difficult weather conditions on the territory of the state. The State Emergency Service and police units are working in enhanced mode to eliminate the consequences of severe weather. Travel on public roads is provided.
"Traffic for all categories of transport on Mykolaiv region highway T-15-10 Arbuzynka - Nova Odesa is blocked. Work continues on cleaning sections of the M-16 highway in Odesa region, highways M-13, R-75, T-15-04, T-15-06, T-15-10 in Mykolaiv region and M-13 in Kirovograd region," Klymenko said.
