Exchange list on Jan 24, published by Russia, contains POWs exchanged earlier – Lubinets
Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said that the Russian list of prisoners of war who were allegedly on board the Il-76 plane includes Ukrainian citizens who had already been exchanged earlier.
"Yes, we found Ukrainian citizens on the list who had already been exchanged before," Sky News quotes the ombudsman.
At the same time, a report from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), published on Thursday morning, said that at least one person on this list had already been exchanged on January 3.
As reported, on the morning of Wednesday, January 24, an Il-76 plane crashed near the Russian city of Belgorod, on board which, according to Russian media reports, could have been Ukrainian prisoners of war.
The Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense indicated that the Russian Federation does not officially publish through the relevant authorities lists of prisoners of war who were supposed to be exchanged on January 24, the information is deliberately publicly disseminated by Russian propaganda.
