Zelenskyy, OSCE Chair-in-Office discuss release of Ukrainian POWs, return of children deported to Russia
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with incumbent Chair-in-Office of OSCE, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta Ian Borg, during which he noted the importance of the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war and the return to their homeland of Ukrainian children deported to Russia, according to the website of the head of the Ukrainian state.
"It is crucial for us that the OSCE focuses on the return of unlawfully deported children, helping us, along with our partners, bring them back home. I consider this the most important issue," Zelenskyy said during a meeting with Borg, who arrived in Ukraine on a visit.
For his part, the incumbent Chair-in-Office of OSCE noted solidarity with Ukraine and assured that the issue of the security of our country is a priority of Malta’s chairmanship in the OSCE.
Zelenskyy particularly noted the holding in Malta of the third meeting of national security advisers and foreign policy advisers on the Ukrainian peace formula in October last year. He conveyed an invitation to the Prime Minister of Malta to visit Ukraine and also take part in the Global Peace Summit.
