Kuleba: What happening with European Peace Facility is shame, I urge all countries to finally resolve differences

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said the current situation with the European Peace Facility (EPF) is a disgrace, and called on all countries and partners on behalf of every Ukrainian soldier to resolve differences.

"I have to admit that what is happening with the European Peace Fund is a shame. And I once again urge all countries, all friends, all partners, on behalf of every Ukrainian soldier who is fighting today, to finally resolve your differences and come to a decision which will allow you to help us stop the war in Ukraine and avoid a situation where you will have to make decisions on a completely different scale to protect our villages, cities and territories," he said at a press conference with Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian and French colleagues in Lithuania on Friday.

Separately, Kuleba welcomed the adoption of the European defense and industrial strategy and expressed hope that the strategy will be implemented on time and in full.

In addition, Kuleba noted the importance of the fact that the meeting in Paris made it possible to form a coalition of long-range weapons and raise money for the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine.

"It is crucial. We appreciate the efforts of the Czech government and all countries that contributed financially. We are grateful to you. Some 800,000 rounds of ammunition is a large number, but very soon it will be exhausted. We can't make a decision and sit down and say: finally we've done it," he said.

Kuleba said Ukraine is in a state of war, which means that "we must make decisions every day."

"And if other countries have proposals similar to the Czech one, then we must start collecting money for this right now, today, and help them implement it," he said.
