Some 2,115 cultural institutions remain in the temporarily occupied territories since 2022, acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Rostyslav Karandeyev reported.

"As of today, 1,795 cultural institutions have been recorded in the de-occupied territories that have suffered damage. We are also recording losses in other seemingly peaceful territories," he said at the All-Ukrainian Forum Cultural and Information Reintegration of De-occupied Territories in Kyiv on Friday.

It is noted that 1,953 cultural institutions have already been damaged throughout the country, and 2,115 cultural institutions have remained in temporarily occupied territories since 2022.

"Of the 56,000 workers in the cultural sector who worked for our Ukraine, less than 36,000 remain... Some were forced to move, others were forced to move abroad. Unfortunately, many people changed their profession," he added.

In addition, Karandeyev, with reference to the Institute of Mass Information, said that since the beginning of full-scale aggression, the Russian Federation has committed 575 crimes against journalists and media in Ukraine: 18 attacks on television towers, 18 attacks and seizures of editorial offices, 28 cases of broadcast blackouts, and 234 media stopped existence.
