Fifty-seven countries taking part in Restoring Justice for Ukraine conference in Hague – Kuleba

Fifty-seven states are taking part in the big conference Restoring Justice for Ukraine, which is taking place on Tuesday, April 2, in The Hague, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.

“Exactly two years ago, Ukrainian troops liberated Bucha and Irpin and the terrible consequences of Russian crimes were revealed. The Bucha massacre shocked the whole world. And last year there was a big conference of the Netherlands, and today there is a second one. Fifty-seven states are present. These are all states united by one goal - to hold Russia accountable for all the crimes committed,” Kuleba said during a conversation with the media before the meeting of the Restoring Justice for Ukraine conference in The Hague.

According to the Minister, much has already been achieved, especially in the direction of creating a mechanism for paying compensation for damage caused, and the International Criminal Court has issued several arrest warrants.

“But even more needs to be done, because people also cannot constantly expect that someday responsibility will come, that someday Russia will be punished. People want to see how Russia is being punished according to the law … Therefore, the purpose of this conference and our participation in it is to take additional steps to see Russians behind bars,” the Foreign Minister added.
