USA does not foresee serious breakthroughs by invaders at front in Ukraine – Dept of State

The United States assumes that Russian troops will continue to try to advance, in particular in Kharkiv region, but they do not foresee any serious breakthroughs by the invaders at the front, Principal Deputy Press Secretary of the U.S. Department of State Vedant Patel has said.
"So Russia continues to press its aggression, and we anticipate that Russia will attempt to press forward within Kharkiv as well," Patel said.
The Russians will try to make more progress over the coming weeks, but there will be no major advances, he said.
"We do not anticipate any major breakthroughs, and over time, the additional influx of U.S. assistance and continued support from partners will enable Ukraine to continue to withstand this kind of aggression," the representative of the Department of State noted.
In addition, he is convinced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will maintain key advantages in battles and inflict significant losses on the enemy.
