Shmyhal, President of German Bundesrat discuss decentralization of Ukrainian energy system, investments for renewable energy

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal discussed with President of the Bundesrat of Germany Manuela Schwesig the decentralization of the Ukrainian energy system and investments in the development of renewable energy.

“We have already concluded 210 communal and seven interregional partnerships. We expect to continue working in this direction, as it contributes to the restoration and development of Ukrainian communities and cities,” said Shmyhal on Telegram.

The Prime Minister noted that assistance in the energy sector is especially important for Ukraine, in connection with which the parties discussed the decentralization of the Ukrainian energy system and investments in the development of renewable energy.

"An equally important topic is the protection of infrastructure and people. I thanked me for providing Patriot systems and missiles to them. I thanked the German government and Chancellor Olaf Scholz for their firm support and significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine," he concluded.
