Akhmetov Foundation donates two intensive care vehicles to Okhmatdyt; ready to help with restoration of hemodialysis

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation on Friday donated two modern intensive care vehicles to the Okhmatdyt National Children's Specialized Hospital for UAH 6.5 million to replace those destroyed by the Russian strike, and is also ready to help with the restoration of the hemodialysis facility destroyed by the July 8 missile.

"The support of Okhmatdyt is crucial for us, because it is help to Ukrainian doctors who save children, despite the risks and challenges of war," program director Iryna Blazhan said in the Foundation's release on Friday.

It is clarified that the Akhmetov Foundation is ready to provide patients of the Okhmatdyt hospital with hemodialysis devices (kidney replacement procedures) in order to restore the destroyed building and again treat children there who have now been transferred to other hospitals in the country.

"You have always supported us, but after such an attack this is very important. This is work for the future – so that Ukraine can save the life of every citizen," Okhmatdyt Director General Volodymyr Zhovnir thanked for the help.

As reported, a Russian missile strike on July 8 damaged four medical buildings and one administrative building at Okhmatdyt. About 50 people were injured, two doctors died.
