Kyivstar integrates AI into Kyivstar Cloud to analyze large volumes of data

Ukraine's largest mobile operator, Kyivstar, has introduced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities within its Kyivstar Cloud platform, enabling Ukrainian businesses and public institutions to deploy AI solutions in a domestic cloud environment without dependence on foreign providers.

The company said in a Monday press release that the AI tools are already available to all Kyivstar Cloud customers. The tools enable real-time analysis of large datasets using machine learning, automation of business processes – including optimization of storage and search systems and analytics – and the deployment of proprietary generative AI models. Customers can also use ready-made tools such as chatbots, content generators and recommendation systems without needing a dedicated in-house AI team.

Kyivstar added that Kyivstar Cloud also offers IaaS solutions, supports hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures, and provides backup services.

Kyivstar first announced the launch of its cloud service for Ukrainian business users in June 2025. At that time the company highlighted Kyivstar Cloud's easy scalability, competitive pricing and absence of traffic charges due to local hosting. The platform supports hybrid and multi-cloud models and can be paired with public and private clouds from other providers such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.

Kyivstar serves nearly 23 million mobile subscribers and more than 1.1 million home internet subscribers. Its digital services portfolio includes the Helsi medical platform, the Kyivstar TV streaming service, and the ride-hailing and delivery leader Uklon. Kyivstar also provides enterprise solutions in cloud technologies, cybersecurity and AI, and via its Kyivstar.Tech unit develops software and partners with international tech firms such as Starlink.

For the first half of 2025 Kyivstar reported EBITDA growth of 39.5% to UAH 12.85 billion, while revenue rose 36.1% to UAH 22.58 billion.

The principal shareholder of Kyivstar Group is the telecom holding VEON, which now holds an 89.6% stake; prior to Kyivstar's listing on the stock exchange in August 2025 VEON was the company's 100% owner.
