Kuleba to make first visits to Malawi, Zambia, Mauritius on Aug 4-8
On August 4-8, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba will pay visits to Malawi, Zambia and Mauritius, the ministry's press service said.
"The Foreign Minister's fourth African tour is aimed at continuing to build relations with African countries. All three countries – Malawi, Zambia and Mauritius – will be visited by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for the first time in history," it said.
In Lilongwe, Lusaka and Port Louis, Kuleba is to hold talks with the leadership of the states, foreign ministers, business and cultural circles.
"All meetings will focus on the development of bilateral relations based on mutual respect and interests. Among the key topics will be the participation of African states in global efforts to restore a just peace for Ukraine and the world," the ministry said.
A special focus of the talks in Malawi will be Ukraine's important role in ensuring food security: exchange of experience and technologies in the field of agriculture, the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian program.
In Zambia, the Minister will discuss the development of bilateral relations, political dialogue and cooperation within international organizations.
In Mauritius, which is one of the most successful economies in Africa, the meetings will focus on attracting investment and the participation of Mauritian businesses in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Ukraine.
