Opening of Epiland at Epicenter in Kyiv boosts sales of adjacent departments by 15% to 42%
The opening of the Epiland children’s entertainment center at the Epicenter shopping center in Kyiv has improved overall sales performance, Epiland network director Kateryna Cherniak said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
"After Epiland opened at the Epicenter on Poliarna Street, neighboring departments recorded sales growth ranging from 15% to 42%. Children’s goods at EPIK, Deko Gallery, the Food Market, and Mon Cheri cosmetics performed particularly well," she said.
Cherniak expressed satisfaction with the performance of all three Epiland locations.
"We opened Epiland in Chabany in April 2025, and since then it has consistently demonstrated positive dynamics. As for the project in Obukhiv, we implemented that park in a new format with an area of 1,500 square meters. It is the smallest facility in the network by area, adapted to the needs of local residents. And although this Epiland’s content is more limited compared with the parks in Kyiv and Chabany, it also shows strong performance (especially in terms of efficiency per square meter) and improves the overall results of the entire shopping center by serving as an additional anchor," she said.
Regarding further development, Cherniak noted that opening Epiland facilities in third-party shopping centers is not currently being considered. "We believe we have managed to create an effective and successful product. This was confirmed by Epiland being recognized as the best entertainment operator in shopping malls as part of the prestigious nationwide RAU Awards 2025. Therefore, it would be illogical to strengthen our competitors’ malls with such an anchor instead of our own," she concluded.
As reported, the first Epiland family entertainment park, with an area of more than 3,500 square meters, was opened in July 2024 at the Epicenter shopping center in Kyiv (20-D Poliarna Street). As part of a reformatting in autumn 2025, the park’s area tripled to 8,600 square meters. In April 2025, Epiland opened at the Epicenter shopping mall in Chabany (5,000 square meters), and in October in Obukhiv on an area of 1,500 square meters (both in Kyiv region). The network’s team is working on an even more ambitious project in Lviv, which after opening will become the largest themed indoor park in Europe.
The Epicenter group of companies is an omnichannel ecosystem that includes the Epicenter and Nova Linia retail chains, the epicentrk.ua online store, the Epicenter-Agro agricultural holding, Epicenter Ceramic Corporation ceramic tile plants, the Osmoloda woodworking enterprise, and logistics facilities. As of December 2025, the retailer’s network comprises 72 shopping centers in Ukraine.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs, the shareholders of Epicenter K LLC are Oleksandr Hereha (51.3%), Halyna Hereha (47.97%), and Tetiana Surzhyk (0.73%).
