Ukraine's forces advance another 1-3 km in Kursk region
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have advanced 1-3 km in different directions in Kursk region since the beginning of the current day, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky reported to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday evening.
"The troops of the offensive group continue to fight, have advanced in some directions from one to three kilometers towards the enemy. Fighting continues along the entire front line. In general, the situation is under control," Syrsky said.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on fighting near the village of Malaya Loknya in Sudzha district of Kursk region and reported on the capture of Russian servicemen. "We continue to replenish [the POW exchange fund]. Currently, fighting is underway in the Malaya Loknya area. I hope that many prisoners will be taken there," he said.
According to him, Major General Eduard Moskalov has already begun work as the head of the military commandant's office created in the territory of Kursk region controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. "Everything is provided. The logistics system is working without failures. Moskalov has begun to fulfill his duties," Syrsky said.
