Juvenile prosecutors: 570 children die in Ukraine due to Russian military aggression
More than 2,093 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation: as of the morning of August 21, 2024, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 570 children were killed and more than 1,523 received injuries of varying severity, the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) reported on Wednesday.
Children in the following regions suffered the most: Donetsk - 578, Kharkiv - 409, Dnipropetrovsk - 165, Kherson - 170, Kyiv - 133, Zaporizhia - 130.
On August 19, 2024, a 14-year-old girl was injured in the shelling of Kherson.
On August 20, 2024, a 14-year-old boy was injured as a result of shelling in Kherson.
On August 20, 2024, a 14-year-old boy was killed and five children (two girls aged 10 and 11, three boys aged 14, 15 and 17) were injured in various degrees as a result of shelling in the village of Malokaterynivka, Zaporizhia district, Zaporizhia region.
