Court selects measure of restraint for MP Dmytruk in absentia – PGO
The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv selected a measure of restraint in the form of detention for Ukrainian Member of Parliament (MP) Artem Dmytruk (the Restoration of Ukraine group) in absentia, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine (PGO) has said.
"On August 29, 2024, the investigating judge of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv granted the petition of the Prosecutor General and chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention without bail for the Ukrainian MP," it said on the Telegram channel.
The judge's ruling and the corresponding resolution on declaring Dmytruk wanted will be sent to the Department of International Police Cooperation of the National Police of Ukraine to organize the inclusion of information on the international search in the records of the Interpol General Secretariat "issuing the so-called red alert" and initiating the detention of the suspect outside of Ukraine for the purpose of further extradition.
As reported, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) put MP Dmytruk, suspected of attacks on citizens and illegally crossing the state border of Ukraine, on the international wanted list.
