Ukraine scales up production of R-360 Neptune missiles with improvements for hitting long-range targets – Umerov

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov discussed plans for 2025, key areas of cooperation and industry development with Ukrainian missile manufacturers.

"Missile Program. Progressing. Today, I held an important meeting with Ukrainian missile manufacturers. We discussed plans for 2025, key areas of collaboration, and the overall development of the industry," he said on Facebook.

Umerov said on April 13, 2022, the Neptune missile system destroyed the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the Moskva cruiser which "became a historic moment showcased the power of our national missile weaponry."

"We are now scaling up Ukrainian missile production. The first 100 missiles have already been produced this year. Serial production of R-360 Neptune cruise missiles has been successfully expanded, with upgrades enabling strikes at longer distances," the minister said.

He also said new drone missiles are being developed, in particular, "Palianytsa," which is an example of successful cooperation between the state and the private sector.

"We are also advancing partnerships with international allies in this field. Thank you to everyone contributing to our victory with Ukrainian missiles that are striking the enemy. Together, we are making Ukraine stronger," Umerov said.
