Ukraine’s Defense Forces down 354 air targets out of 368 last night
The Defense Forces of Ukraine neutralized 354 air targets out of 368 that attacked Ukraine last night, direct hits were recorded in six locations, the main enemy attack was concentrated on Kyiv, the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
"On the night of June 23 [from 20:00 on June 22], the enemy attacked with 368 air attack means: 352 Shahed-type strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the following directions: Kursk, Shatalovo, Orel, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russia [up to 160 of them – Shaheds]; 11 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Taganrog and Bryansk regions - Russia; and five Iskander-K cruise missiles from Kursk region - Russia," the press service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement.
It is noted that the main direction of the attack was the city of Kyiv.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defenses neutralized 354 enemy air attack means, 158 were shot down by fire, 196 were lost in location: 146 enemy Shahed UAVs (other types of UAVs) were shot down by fire, 193 were lost in location/suppressed by electronic warfare; seven Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles were shot down, another three were lost in location; and five Iskander-K cruise missiles were shot down.
It is reported that direct hits of enemy air attack means were recorded in six locations, as well as the fall of downed (fragments) in 25 locations in the city of Kyiv and Kyiv region.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
