Russia sets new record for attacks – 550 drones and missiles

Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine neutralized 478 of the 550 air attack vehicles used by the enemy, according to the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, following the Russian attack on the night of US Independence Day, July 4 (from 18:00 on July 3).

The previous record – 537 air attack vehicles, of which 475 were shot down, was set on the night of Sunday, June 29.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of July 4 (from 18:00 on July 3), the enemy attacked with 550 air attack vehicles:

- 539 Shahed-type strike UAVs and imitator drones of various types from the following directions: Kursk, Shatalovo, Orel, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russia (over 330 of them - Shaheds);

- one X-47 M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile from the airspace of Lipetsk region of the Russian Federation;

- six Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Bryansk region of the Russian Federation;

- four Iskander-K cruise missiles from Kursk and Voronezh regions of the Russian Federation.

According to preliminary data, as of 8:00, air defenses neutralized 478 enemy air attack vehicles, 270 were shot down by fire, and 208 were lost in location:

- 268 enemy Shahed UAVs (other types of UAVs) were shot down by fire, and 208 were lost in location/suppressed by electronic warfare;

- two Iskander-K cruise missiles.

Enemy hit eight locations (nine missiles and 63 UAVs), as well as downed fragments fell in 33 locations.
